Amazon Prime Video wanted to make a big pop-culture splash to promote the upcoming fourth season of its hit superhero satire The Boys. So they partnered with TIME on a bold idea where the magazine named the show’s antagonist, Homelander, “Superhero of the Year.”

TIME called on me to pen a profile of Homelander that ran on TIME’s website as well as in the print edition of the magazine inside a promotional cover wrap. The innovative idea won a silver Clio Entertainment Award in the Television & Streaming category.
